I am currently looking for postdoctoral researchers to join my research group at the Yau Mathematical Sciences Center (YMSC), Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. The research focuses on data assimilation combined with AI/ML, with possible directions also involving quantum computing and modeling, applied to sea-ice and climate system modeling. A brief bio
Born in Hunan, Dr. Quanling Deng currently holds a tenure-track Assistant Professor position at YMSC and an honorary Lecturer position at ANU. Before joining YMSC, he worked at ANU as a Lecturer (2022-2025), at the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a Van Vleck Visiting Assistant Professor (2020-2022), and at Curtin University as a Research Associate (2016-2020). He got his PhD in Mathematics at the University of Wyoming in 2016. He has a broad interest in Artificial Intelligence, Computational and Applied Mathematics.
